House, Senate Split on E-Verify for Stimulus Package

As part of the U.S. economic stimulus package, the controversial E-Verify program now moves behind closed doors, where differences between the Senate and House versions will be worked out. The House version requires that all companies benefiting from stimulus money utilize the E-Verify system to prevent the hiring of illegal aliens, while the Senate rejects the notion.
