ZillionTV: Hollywood and ISPs Unite to Deliver Video over the Net | Epicenter from Wired.com

ZillionTV, announced Wednesday, offers a slick, unobtrusive set-top box ($50) that streams standard- and high-definition video content from Hollywood studios, over special lanes on the internet, directly to consumers' television sets -- in return for their watching advertisements or paying rental and purchase fees. Through a partnership with Visa, the company also plans to add a feature long-sought by advertisers: the ability to buy items featured in shows and movies. Want a pair of those cargo shorts the guy on Lost is wearing? ZillionTV wants to put them just one click away.
