Zillion TV to offer a new way to view videos online – Tech Products & Geek News | Geek.com

A new service is offering a new form of television programming using an existing broadband Internet connection, a set-top box and a motion sensing remote control. The service, called Zillion TV, is launching in beta form with agreements from major Hollywood studios, television networks and VISA in hand.

Best of all, the service is subscription-free and only a one-time, initial service activation fee will be needed to receive the ZillionTV device and remote control. Included in the service are programming libraries of Disney, 20th Century Fox Television, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. Digital Distribution. Viewers will receive their programing through on-demand streaming to the television set so no downloading, progressive streaming or peer-to-peer networking will be required.
